ABOUT THE AUTHOR


GINI GRAHAM SCOTT, Ph.D., J.D., is a nationally known writer, organizational/business consultant, sociologist, speaker, and seminar/workshop leader, specializing in organizational behavior, conflict resolution, creativity, social issues, and criminal justice. She is founder and director of Behavior Research Associates, which conducts research; Creative Communications & Research, which offers writing services; and Changemakers, involved in book sales, radio talk shows, and promotion. Her Website for speaking and workshops is at www.ginigrahamscott.com.  She has taught classes at several colleges, including Woodbury University, Notre Dame de Namur University, and the Investigative Career Program in San Francisco. Her screenplays, mostly in the crime, legal thriller, and sci-fi genres, include RICH AND DEAD, ROYAL FLUSH, DEAD BEAT, THE PARKING LOT, BRINGING GRANDMA BACK, WILD CHILD, BRAIN SWAP, and DELUSION. As a songwriter, Scott has had cuts on several records, including: "The Truth about Lying" (Sun Star), "What I Told You on the Pillow" (Sealco), and “Listen to the Echoes” (Sheheshe Records). A new site that features her songs is at Songworks.  She also writes children's book, and has designed several lines of dolls and character licenses based on these books.

 

As a game and toy designer, Scott has had over two dozen games with major game companies, including Hasbro, Pressman, and Mag-Nif. Two new games will be out with Briarpatch in 2007.  She licensed GLASNOST: THE GAME OF SOVIET-AMERICAN PEACE AND DIPLOMACY to John N. Hansen (1988). The game received a 1989 International Clio for packaging. 

 

Scott has received national media exposure for her books (including appearances on Oprah, Montel Williams, CNN, and the O'Reilly Factor). She hosted a weekly radio talk show series, CHANGEMAKERS, featuring interviews on various topics, aired from 1991 to 1993 to 1 million listeners in over 70 countries.

 

She received a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of California in Berkeley, a J.D. from the University of San Francisco Law School, and M.A.s in Anthropology and in Mass Communications and Organizational, Consumer, and Audience Behavior from Cal State, East Bay.
